Description
The glass decanter dates to the late 18th century and is a rare example of what we believe to be an Irish spirit engraved decanter. The decanter comprises of a moulded target stopper that rests in a flared neck with two triple annulated neck rings, falling down onto a generous body with the engraved inscription SPIRITS surrounded garland of flowers, resting on a kick base with sharp snapped off pontil.
The decanter is quite rare being a spirit decanter.
Condition Report
The condition of the glass decanter is good with traces of bloom in the body. When the decanter was manufactured the neck was not straightened by the glass blower and is leaning to left making it quite unusual.
