Description
The glass decanter comprises of an air beaded stopper with sharp snapped off pontil at the base, resting in a facet panel cut neck with oxo cut border with swags, tails, shields and Ox heads that have been cut and polished with some intricate cutting in the base, resting on a flat base with inner polished pontil.
The Georgian glass decanter dates to 1780 and is a rare example of a sugar loaf decanter with the James Giles engraved Bucrania pattern.
