19th Century Woodrow Royal Warrant Black Silk Top Hat Size 7 (57cm)

Description

The Victorian / Edwardian silk top hat was produced by Woodrow hat makers from their Manchester shop and is absolutely fabulous. The silk top hat comprises of 100 black silk with outer band with the inside having the leather sweat band and is silk lined with the makers mark with Royal Warrant By Appointment maker WOODROW 11 MARKET STREET MANCHESTER & ALSO AT 48 PICCADILLY (London Shop) MANCHESTER GLASGOW LIVERPOOL DUBLIN AND BELFAST with gold lettering LCS. The hat box is in fabulous condition with one of the securing buckles missing, with the most magnifient velvet lined case with the orginal leather strap and gilded locking clasp. The lock does have a key and the lock works. The hat and box really neeeds to be seen as the picutres do not do this item justice.

Condition Report

The condition of the silk hat is excellent with some slight discoloration inside due to age nothing serious. The condition of the hat box is good with only one of the upper straps is missing a buckle and inside the hat box is excellent and comes with a key and the lock works. Please see pictures
