Description
The Victorian Stag inkwell dates to 1870 and is a fabulous example of a standing stag with the added desiriability of the inkwell having the original inwell glass inside. The inkwell comprises of a standing stag and plated lid with original ink glass inkwell inside the main body, falling down onto the most substantial facet panel cut body with circular cut band at the bottom of the body, resting on a star cut base.
Condition
The condition of the glass inkwell is good with some minor nibbles on the main body and one the inside of the glass ink holder which is quite acceptable due to genuine use. The plate has worn under the inside of the lid.
